The U. S. Travel Association announces the appointment of Jena Baker McNeill as the new senior director of government relations

New Senior Director of Government Relations Committed to Advancing Federal Policies that Strengthen and Promote Travel in America

WASHINGTON, 2015-4-22 — /Travel PR News/ — The U. S. Travel Association on Monday announced that Jena Baker McNeill is the association’s new senior director of government relations. McNeill will bolster the team’s efforts to promote policies that increase travel to and within the U.S.

McNeill brings a wealth of public policy experience to U.S. Travel, previously serving as deputy director for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. In that capacity, McNeill helped oversee a variety of travel-related issues, including national security and border security. Prior to working in the U.S. Senate, McNeill served in policy analyst roles at the Heritage Foundation and the Chertoff Group.

“Jena brings an abundance of political know-how and homeland security expertise,” said U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow. “The U.S. travel community evaluates every travel-related policy though the lens of safety and security first and foremost and Jena’s background speaks directly to that emphasis. We anticipate that Jena will contribute immediately to efforts such as protecting Open Skies agreements, advancing sound legislation like the JOLT Act to strengthen and expand the Visa Waiver Program and enhancing and improving the entry process for international visitors.”
