Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat, France, 2019-May-31 — /Travel PR News/ — The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel will be an active player of the worldwide Global Wellness Day 2019, in collaboration with the City of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. In celebration of this particular day dedicated to wellbeing, the Hotel is organizing a friendly run along the scenic path of the peninsula followed by a 30 minute yoga session in the Hotel’s gardens, on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
The morning will begin at 7:30 am with a “Run le Cap”, a 6 kilometer itinerary through the peninsula of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat along the picturesque coastal pathway, supervised by the professional coaches of the Grand-Hôtel and members of the Municipality of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. The meeting point for the race will take place in the main garden of the Hotel, down the historical building, and the run will end by the Club Dauphin on the coastal pathway the “Chemin des douaniers”).
At 9:00 am, the Japanese Yoghi Master of the Hotel, Yuko, will invite runners (and walkers) to join a moment of relaxation and disconnection with a 30-minute yoga session held in the lush gardens of the Hotel, overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
At 9.30 am – The General Management of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, will invite all participants for a refreshing drink at the Club Dauphin.
Global Wellness Day, a worldwide event
Saturday, June 8th 2019 will mark the 10th edition of the Global Wellness Day (GWD), which for the 5th time, will be celebrated on a worldwide scale with the slogan “One day can change your whole life” . The Grand-Hotel and the city of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat will join an international network of thousands of cities, tourist boards, and hotels to celebrate simultaneously the GWD in more than 5,000 different locations.
This year, Global Wellness Day will be celebrated in over 130 countries from sunrise in New Zealand until sunset on the French Riviera. Founded six years ago by Belgin Aksoy from Istanbul, this is a special day that reminds the entire world of the importance of living well, encompassing everything from exercise and beauty treatments, spiritual teachings and ways of thinking, to the harmony between body and spirit. This is a social movement without any commercial purpose, celebrated around the world on the second Saturday of June every year. Global Wellness Day’s simple but effective pink paddles saying “I SAY YES TO WELLNESS” have become synonymous with the day and GWD’s manifesto is simple and clear:
- Walk for an hour.
- Drink more water.
- Don’t use plastic bottles.
- Eat healthy food.
- Do a good deed.
- Have a family dinner with your loved ones.
- Sleep at 10:00 pm.
