Steigenberger Hotels AG earns two awards for its good human resources management

Two awards confirm the hotel group’s effective human resources management

Main, Germany, 2018-Feb-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Staff motivation and commitment are key to corporate success, particularly in the hotel sector. Good human resources management makes an important contribution in this regard. This plays a major role to Steigenberger Hotels AG whose umbrella brand Deutsche Hospitality comprises Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts, Jaz Hotels and IntercityHotel. Evidence of this was once more provided in the form of two awards received by the hotel company at the start of the year.

The 2018 Employer Study was carried out by the news magazine Focus in conjunction with Germany’s biggest business networking site XING, the leading employer rating portal Kununu and the statistics portal “statista”. In the category “Restaurants, Hotels, Entertainment, Fitness and Tourism”, Steigenberger Hotels AG achieved first place amongst major companies and was ranked eighth in overall terms. More than 120,000 salaried employees from all hierarchical levels and every age group across 22 different branches were asked about the attractiveness of working for their own business organisations in order to identify Germany’s top employers within the various individual sectors.

Steigenberger Hotels AG is also celebrating a ninth “Germany’s Top Employer” award from the Top Employer Institute, an annual accolade that recognises companies offering exemplary working conditions. The areas in which Steigenberger Hotels AG was particularly singled out for praise were permanent investment in staff development, ongoing efforts to enhance the working environment and forward-looking approaches and practices.

Roberto Rojas, Vice President of Group Human Resources at Steigenberger Hotels AG, welcomed the news. “We are delighted at these awards and at the trust our employees have placed in us. In order to keep pace with the times, recognise and fulfil the requirements of our guests and pursue growth, our company needs the commitment of every single member of staff. Going forwards, the positive feedback received will encourage us to continue with robust further development of our corporate culture and thus create the best possible conditions for our workforce.”
