The progressive, French-inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Thomas Lents and Executive Pastry Chef Patrick Fahy will be the highlight of feasts for family and friends who gather on the sixteenth floor of the award-winning downtown Chicago hotel for an unforgettable celebration. Sixteen’s specially designed menus for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day festivities have been created to embrace the holiday spirit and help every guest savor the season.
New this holiday season, guests may make their way to Sixteen via The Gingerbread Express, the first-ever gingerbread-covered elevator. The Gingerbread Express is a designated elevator to Sixteen that is dressed to the nines in everyone’s favorite holiday indulgences – gingerbread, chocolate, and candy canes. Guests enter The Gingerbread Express off the hotel’s lobby, by a four-foot high candy cane, to be greeted by the sweet aromas of the season, celebratory holiday music, and nearly 1,000 gingerbread bricks made especially by Chef Fahy and Sixteen’s pastry team. They can enjoy a roaring fire, peek through a window box featuring a snow-covered Alpine Valley, and high above, witness an active train set and a custom wood ceiling inspired by a Montana Lodge.
Sixteen’s Christmas offerings include:
- Christmas Eve Dinner: Monday, December 24
On this special evening, indulge in either a five or ten course hand-crafted tasting menu, featuring stunning creations from Chef Lents.
This special tasting menu costs $150 per person for five-courses, exclusive of alcohol, or $225 with wine pairings. Guests will also have the option to experience an elaborate ten-course tasting menu for the Christmas Eve celebration. This dinner will cost $195 per person, exclusive of alcohol, or $295 with wine pairings. All prices are exclusive of tax and gratuity.

- Christmas Day Brunch: Tuesday, December 25
On Christmas Day, all of the joy and wonder of the holiday season will come to life during a festive brunch at Sixteen. Guests will indulge in a buffet laden with a bounty of offerings, including fresh seafood, artisan breads, and deli carving stations. Chef Fahy will end the meal on a sweet note with a lavish dessert station offering nostalgic holiday treats and surprises.
Children will especially revel in this spectacular celebration that offers a special buffet station, filled with favorites like Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Mini Pizzas, Chicken Tenders, Mini Burgers, Fruit Skewers, Macaroni and Cheese, and more. They will also cherish quality time with Santa, Mrs. Claus and two live reindeer, who will make a live, all-day appearance on The Terrace at Trump, which will be transformed into a holiday wonderland in honor of their visit. All children will also receive a holiday gift from Sixteen.
Christmas Day brunch at Sixteen is $135 per person and $30 for children eight years and under, exclusive of tax, alcohol and gratuity. Seating times are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Christmas Dinner: Tuesday, December 25
Sixteen will also be serving dinner on Christmas Day from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Chefs Lents and Fahy will present a five-course menu for $150 per person, exclusive of alcohol, or $225 with wine pairings. Diners will also have the option of experiencing a special ten-course menu for $195 per person, exclusive of alcohol, or $295 with wine pairings. All prices are exclusive of tax and gratuity.
