Scarves Up Higher! Zoo announces its lineup for kicking exhibition to celebrate the Seattle Sounders FC playoff match

Sounders fans get admission discount Nov. 1-9

WHAT – 2012-11-04 — /travelprnews.com/ —It’s time to bust out the Rave Green as Woodland Park Zoo’s animal residents Give Their Full 90 at a kicking exhibition with mini-soccer balls to cheer on the Seattle Sounders FC heading to the MLS Cup playoffs.
Last year’s lineup returns with the zoo’s Sicilian miniature donkey, grizzly bears and wolves. The zoo’s 6-month-old snow leopards and mom will make up the second team. And it’s Scarves Up Higher when the zoo’s orangutans receive Sounders scarves as a salute to the team!

Sounders fans can March to the Zoo for an admission discount. From November 1 through November 9, wear a Sounders scarf or any Sounders sportswear ‒ such as a jersey, hat or gloves ‒ and receive half off zoo admission. The admission discount applies only to the child or adult wearing the Sounders sportswear and is not to be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Sounders FC will play on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field Friday, November 2. The second leg will be played at Real Salt Lake Thursday, November 8.
The soccer balls and scarves for the animals are part of the zoo’s excellent animal care program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals, promote natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally stimulated and engage zoo visitors.
