Ready Set Fly program offers real-world experience of air travel without leaving the ground
SAN FRANCISCO, 2016-Sep-07 — /Travel PR News/ — The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is partnering with The Arc San Francisco and United Airlines to host an educational event for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities and their families. The “Ready Set Fly” program, now in its second year at SFO, provides customized support and guidance to families as they participate in an air travel practice that includes ticketing, security and boarding a United Airlines aircraft assigned especially for the event. Before boarding, participants will learn specialists’ tips for travelling with disabilities. Media are invited to cover the event, which will include interview opportunities with select participating families.
WHAT:

San Francisco International Airport, Terminal 3, Departure Level, Door 03. Simulated check-in will occur at United Group Check-in counter, located adjacent to Door 03.
