“Reaching more destinations together” – Shared airberlin and Etihad Airways campaign takes off

2012-10-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today: Abu Dhabi. Tomorrow: the Seychelles, Sydney or Bangkok. The shared route network operated by airberlin and its strategic partner Etihad Airways spans almost the entire world, from the bustling metropolises of Asia, Arabia and Australia to the dream beaches of the Indian Ocean.

With the “Reaching more destinations together” campaign starting just in time for the German autumn, the two partner airlines are stimulating more incentives for flying and providing their guests with diverse travel opportunities at discounted fares. The special fares can be booked for many of the shared 239 destinations in 77 countries during the period from 16th to 29th October 2012.

For 399 euros roundtrip, several daily flights operated by one of the two airlines are available from Dusseldorf to Abu Dhabi and the neighbouring emirate of Dubai, which can be reached in only one hour’s drive from Abu Dhabi Airport. A free shuttle bus service directly into the Dubai city centre or to the Dubai Marina Mall is also coordinated with flight departure and arrival times at Abu Dhabi Airport.

There is even a chauffeur service available for Business Class customers. In about seven hours’ flight time, guests can reach Abu Dhabi from Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich from 439 euros (roundtrip fare). The Abu Dhabi International Airport – the base and hub of airberlin’s strategic partner Etihad Airways – is optimally structured to transfer guests and highly deserving of its nickname “Gateway to the World”.

As a modern infrastructure with short pathways, the airport is perfect for connecting flights all over the world, to destinations such as the main Seychelles island of Mahé, which is offered in the booking period from 639 euros for the roundtrip from Dusseldorf. Also available are special fares to Bangkok via Abu Dhabi from 569 euros, to Muscat, Bahrain and Doha in the Arabian Peninsula from 519 euros or to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne from 979 euros (fares for departures from Dusseldorf).

All prices are all-in prices for the roundtrip and can be booked online at airberlin.com and etihad.com, via the Service Centres of either airline (airberlin: 030 / 3434 3434, local rates, or Etihad Airways: 0180 500 5400) as well as through a travel agency. Through the integration of airberlin and Etihad Airways’ frequent flyer programs, guests flying on either partner airline can collect both award and status miles.

The campaign aimed at the German market runs from 16th to 29th October and will be focused on online media as well as radio. In connection with the campaign, guests of both airlines can take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the shared routes of airberlin and Etihad Airways at special fares. More information about the shared global travel network of airberlin and Etihad Airways can be found on airberlin’s homepage at airberlin.com/ziele.
