Kent, UK, 2023-Feb-08 — /Travel PR News/ — Leading riding holiday operator, Ranch Rider is introducing its first ever pop-up dude ranch experience. Montana’s historic O.T.O. Ranch is being leased by the True Ranch Collection, with bookings available from June 25 to August 12, 2023. In a prime location, the property, which lies in a mountain valley along Cedar Creek, is just over 10 miles from the north gates of Yellowstone National Park.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the O.T.O. Ranch originally opened for city slickers in around 1910, making it the first ever dude ranch in Big Sky Country. And, worthy of note, Theodore Roosevelt is listed as a former guest. In a bid to help restore the property, the True Ranch Collection is working in partnership with the Custer Gallatin National Forest. A donation is included in the cost of the holiday, and 100% of the proceeds from this special pop-up event will go toward efforts being made to restore and preserve the O.T.O. Ranch.

Sandra Potter, Marketing Director at Ranch Rider, comments, “This is a fabulous opportunity, not only to enjoy an authentic dude ranch holiday, but also to be part of preserving the history and culture of America’s West. The proximity of the O.T.O. Ranch to Yellowstone is an added bonus, and for guests booking a six-night stay at the property, a tour of the national park is included in the price.”

Classic dude ranch adventures await, including horseback riding in the Montana wilderness, sport shooting, archery and hiking; plus special events and evening entertainment. A hiking and horse riding paradise, the trails are home to plentiful wildlife including buffalo and bighorn sheep, and the O.T.O. Ranch is set in the heart of the migration corridor for elk. Off-ranch activities include white water rafting and visits to the Yellowstone hot springs.
