Doha, Qatar, 2019-Jan-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Qetaifan Projects Company, and a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality which was established to develop and manage Qetaifan Island North, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rixos Hotels to manage and operate the hotels, the souq, the water park and the beach club in Qetaifan Island North.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by His Excellency Sheikh Nawaf bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Katara Hospitality abd Mr. Fettah Tamince, Founder and Chairman of the Rixos Hotels. In presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Chairman at Katara Hospitality, Managing Director and CEO of Qetaifan Projects; Mr. Hamad Al Kubaisi, Board Member; Mr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Board Member; Mr. Jean-Baptiste Recher, Vice President Development, AccorHotels Middle East; as well as other Senior Executives including, Mr. Ali Tamince and Mr. Özgür Çinkılıç.
Qetaifan Projects was established due to the increasing demand for high quality tourism facilities and the need to develop more in this sector. Qetaifan Projects will develop and operate Qetaifan Island North to commensurate th high standards of Katara Hospitality’s continuous success.
On this occasion, Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of Katara Hospitality said: “This agreement marks Rixos Hotels brand’s first property in Qatar. This is the first Memorandum of Understanding of the Rixos Hotels chain in The State of Qatar. The Rixos partnership with AccorHotels has added weight to the rapid growth of the Rixos Hotels on the regional and international levels.
