Star Alliance airlines win four Globerunner Awards
NEW YORK, 2013-07-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Star Alliance, the way the Earth connects, has been named Best Airline Alliance for the second year running by the readers of Frequent Business Traveller, an online magazine designed for the affluent frequent business traveller.

Star Alliance member airlines were also distinguished in four out of seven individual airline award categories. Lufthansa took two awards – for Best First Class Lounges and Best Frequent Flyer Programme for its Miles and More. In addition, SWISS was chosen in the category Best Business Class Lounges while Singapore Airlines was voted Best Airline in Asia/Pacific.
The Frequent Business Traveler GlobeRunner Awards recognise the world’s best airlines, hotels chains, automobile manufacturers, car rental agencies, luggage manufacturers, and travel websites. The winners were selected in an online vote that took place from January 9th to March 15th, 2013 and over 110,000 votes were cast by its readers. The Globerunner awards were launched in 2012.
