Orange Wednesday: Save 50 Percent Off at Howard Johnson Hotels

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – 2012-11-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — Let’s face it: Last year’s Black Friday was a mess. The alarm didn’t go off and you missed out on that $10 toaster you had your eye on. This year, forget about the cheap household appliances and let yourself sleep in. Then, come the Wednesday directly following Thanksgiving, grab yourself a great vacation at 50 percent off with Howard Johnson® hotels.

For one day only on November 28, unofficially Orange Wednesday, consumers can save 50 percent off the rate of the day when they book an upcoming stay, up to three consecutive nights, at any of 50 participating Howard Johnson hotels throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“Black Friday has become a holiday in and of itself but unfortunately, there are far too many deals out there to take advantage of them all,” said Kevin McCabe, senior director of marketing for Howard Johnson. “With Orange Wednesday, those that want to go out and enjoy Black Friday can, knowing that after they do, they’ll have a chance to come home, recuperate for a few days and then grab a great deal on their next stay with Howard Johnson.”

To book, shoppers should visit www.hojo.com prior to Orange Wednesday, where they can view a complete list of participating hotels and make note of the phone number for the hotel they’d like to book. Then, come Orange Wednesday, they need only call the hotel directly and request to book the Orange Wednesday rate.

Reservations will only be accepted by calling hotels directly and stays must be completed within three months of the reservation being made. Each participating hotel may make a maximum of three reservations and each traveler may book only one reservation for up to three consecutive nights at the 50 percent off discount during the promotion period. Blackout dates apply. Full terms and conditions are available at www.hojo.com.

Travelers looking to book sooner or unable to take advantage of Orange Wednesday rates can still get a discount on their next trip, saving 20 percent when they book three consecutive nights or more between now and December 31, 2012. To book or for more details, visit www.hojo.com.
