New Holiday Inn Resort planned for Lonavala under IHG and Emproy Hospitality agreement

(NEWS) INDIA, 2025-Dec-10 — /Travel PR News/ — IHG Hotels & Resorts is preparing to deepen its footprint in India’s leisure market with a newly signed management agreement for Holiday Inn Resort Lonavala, developed in partnership with Emproy Hospitality LLP. Scheduled to welcome guests in 2027, the upcoming resort reinforces IHG’s commitment to expanding its essentials portfolio across high-demand holiday destinations, particularly those favoured by domestic travellers seeking convenient nature escapes.

The new property will rise along the NH-48 expressway — one of the busiest gateways connecting Mumbai, Pune and key western corridors — giving the resort strong road visibility and year-round accessibility. Designed as a scenic retreat surrounded by Lonavala’s greenery and cool climate, Holiday Inn Resort Lonavala will feature 100 guest rooms along with leisure-focused amenities such as a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and an assortment of dining venues tailored to families, weekend vacationers and social groups.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, described the project as a major step in strengthening the group’s leisure strategy. He noted that Lonavala continues to rank among the most visited getaways in West India, making it an ideal setting for the Holiday Inn Resort brand which is known for dependable comfort and family-friendly experiences.

Representing the owner side, Rajeev Jain, Managing Partner at Emproy Hospitality LLP, shared optimism about the collaboration, stating confidence that the resort will emerge as a preferred choice for travellers seeking scenic breakaways close to major metros. He added that the partnership with IHG will leverage global expertise to establish new service benchmarks within the region.

Across India, IHG is actively expanding with 51 operational hotels across brands including Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, voco, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express. The pipeline remains robust, with 72 additional hotels expected to open over the next three to five years.
