MGTO rolls out the “Monthly Lucky Draws for Visitors in Celebration of Handover Anniversary

Macao, China, 2019-May-22 — /Travel PR News/ — To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) rolls out the “Monthly Lucky Draws for Visitors in Celebration of Handover Anniversary” on the 20th day of every month from May to November. The first round of lucky draw was held today (20 May), drawing a multitude of visitors and lively vibes.

During the aforementioned period, visitors can visit MGTO’s Tourist Information counters at Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, Taipa Ferry Terminal, Macau International Airport or the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Frontier Post at Macao Port to enter the lucky draw for chances to win exquisite souvenirs including locally-designed magnets with special cultural and creative elements, and souvenirs themed after Macao Tourism Mascot “MAK MAK”.

To encourage visitors to revisit Macao and experience the unique glamour of the city in different months of the year, MGTO has partnered with a local cultural and creative business to present special magnet souvenirs. Designed to be part of a “series”, the monthly souvenirs are imbued with the diverse colors of the tourism landscape in Macao from events and festivals, cultural heritage to signature delicacies and other elements. Visitors can collect and piece together the seven monthly magnet souvenirs won from the lucky draws into an image of Macao’s famous landmark – the Ruins of St. Paul’s.

During the period, the local cultural and creative business also launched another series of magnet souvenirs designed for sale, available in limited quantity for purchase through souvenir vending machines at designated locations. Interested visitors can purchase and collect this series of souvenirs themed after the 20thAnniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR.

MGTO continues to partner with local cultural and creative businesses to weave together cultural and tourism elements for a showcase of Macao’s unique cultural colors to visitors, in order to steer the cultural and creative industries forward in Macao.
