Celebrity chef’s culinary creations available in international terminal
ATLANTA – 2012-11-03 — /travelprnews.com/ — Travelers through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport now have the opportunity to sample the unique work of renowned celebrity chef Lorena Garcia, whose cuisine has been featured on “Top Chef All-Stars” and “The Biggest Loser.”
Airport officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning to celebrate the opening of Lorena Garcia Tapas Bar — her first full-service restaurant to open in an airport — in the mezzanine of the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal. Concessionaire HMSHost will operate and manage the restaurant.
“Hartsfield-Jackson is continuing an upgrade to the food and beverage program, and we are thrilled to add Lorena Garcia Tapas Bar to the offerings in the international terminal,” said Aviation General Manager Louis Miller. “The international flavor of Ms. Garcia’s dishes makes this an appropriate restaurant for our travelers from throughout the world, and her emphasis on healthy options will appeal to the increasing number of diners who are seeking healthy alternatives.”
Lorena Garcia Tapas Bar joins a varied lineup of dining options in the international terminal’s mezzanine, where Pei Wei Asian Diner, The Original El Taco, The Pecan, The Varsity and Starbucks already are open.

Among the menu items at Lorena Garcia Tapas Bar are mango-glazed chicken wings, turkey-bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese, roasted Portobello mushroom sliders and a citrus- chicken-marinated avocado wrap. The restaurant also will sell wine, beer and premium cocktails.
