Aberdeen, Scotland, 2016-Nov-18 — /Travel PR News/ — The growing business community at Maxim Office Park is now being served by local bus links provided by First Glasgow.

The First Glasgow network connects Motherwell, Wishaw, Holytown, Airdrie, Whifflet and Coatbridge with Maxim and Eurocentral, within an impressive 30-minute journey time.

These new services offer increased transport options for the 3,700 employees and 50 companies at one of the UK’s biggest office park developments. Maxim is now connected to the largest single bus network in the area and this directly connects the park to Glasgow city centre and other key destinations.

First Glasgow Service 2, which serves customers on a corridor from Faifley to Airdrie, via Baillieston, has now been extended at Monday to Friday peak times to serve Maxim.

First Glasgow Service 242, Overtown to Holytown, has also been extended at Monday to Friday peak times to the office park, providing new links from the Motherwell and Wishaw area.

Maxim’s central location and excellent transport links have made it a big draw for premium tenants including Proact IT, Document Data Group, SEPA, TC Biopharm, Allied Glass and Arran Aromatics.

Margaret Mayer, First Bus Business Director, Lanarkshire, said: “It’s great to be working with Maxim in the delivery of these new transport options for people travelling to and from this first rate location.

“Maxim shares First Glasgow’s commitment to sustainable public transport solutions and we both believe the provision of these new links with major population centres will be well received by people travelling to and from this excellent business location.”

Maxim Office Park has one of the UK’s largest recruitment catchments with over 3.4 million people accessible within a 60 minute commute (over 1.3 million of which are of working age).

Craig Ritchie, director at Maxim Office Park, added:  “The growth of Maxim and Eurocentral has resulted in a huge demand for extended public transport links to the area so it’s fantastic news that we’ve managed to secure these new services.

“We wanted to create a more sustainable, well-connected bus service that better fits the needs of a growing business park in a central location – and we believe we have now achieved that.  It further strengthens our position as Scotland’s premium out of town office park, offering our occupiers a wide variety of sustainable transport options and on-site amenities.”

Although primarily aimed at the growing number of people working in Maxim, the bus service will also connect members of the public to the park, meaning they can take advantage of the various on-site amenities available.  In addition to the children’s nursery, the Peppery Horse take-away, Berits & Brown bistro and the putting green, Maxim also has The Fountain, an on-site fitness, beauty and wellbeing amenity hub.

Maxim Office Park has a wider range of offices available, from suites of 1,000 sq ft to one of the UK’s largest buildings at 187,000 sq ft.
