Paris, France – 2012-11-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — Eric Briffard – Le Cinq, a new book by the chef at Four Seasons Hotel George V, has won the 12th Prix Spécial Pierre-Christian Taittinger at a ceremony held at the Lutetia Hotel on November 21, 2012.

Christian Taittinger, Mayor of the XVIe arrondissement of Paris and Philippe Renard, Chef of the Lutetia Hotel, creators of this prestigious recognition, and the “Patronage des Cuisiniers de France” rewarded the book, published by Glénat Editions, for its outstanding photography by Richard Haughton.

More than thirty books were in competition. Jury members have paid special attention to the quality of the writing, the aim being to promote, in the French edition, culinary writing as literature.

Chef Eric Briffard of two Michelin star Restaurant Le Cinq shares in this book a hundred of his most delicious recipes. Written by Chihiro Masui and illustrated by Richard Haughton, his book combines the art of writing with gastronomy.
