CEO Jung took over his official duties on June 4 when the inauguration ceremony was held at the Incheon Airport Corporation auditorium.
CEO Jung, Chang-Soo who passed the 23rd Public Administration Examination in 1979 to enter public service, was appointed Vice Minister of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs in August 2010 after having served in various positions in the government, including Construction and Transportation Secretary to the Presidential Secretariat, Director of Housing and Urban Development Office of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, Deputy Director of Agriculture, and Fishery and Construction of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, among other posts.
He is also recognized as an outstanding administrator equipped with policy-planning experience and skills in various fields from airport to construction to transportation to housing, as he has engaged in establishing the Act on Promotion of the New Airport Construction for Seoul Metropolitan Area to lay the groundwork for the construction of Incheon International Airport and has supported the notification of a master plan for the third-phase of the Incheon Airport Expansion Project.
CEO Jung expressed his ambitious goal in an inaugural speech, “I will strive to strengthen our position as a world-class airport, meet people’s expectation for us to become an ideal public corporation, and concentrate on investment and innovation to achieve bigger success in the future.”
He will be in charge of major projects for the future which include, for instance, pushing forward the third-phase of the airport expansion project including building the second passenger terminal, developing an airport city, and participating in overseas airport construction projects.
