Improved service for NIKI and airberlin passengers – Check-in 1 opens at Vienna International Airport

On 9 January the newly modernised Check-in 1 opened for business at Vienna International Airport where it will serve NIKI and airberlin passengers. 

2013-01-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — Anyone flying with NIKI and airberlin will be treated to an even better travel experience at the newly renovated Check-in 1 at Vienna International Airport from now on: covering around 3,500 square metres, the terminal building will have up to 30 check-in desks and eight time-saving self-service terminals.

There is also a separate desk exclusively for silver, gold and platinum members of the airlines’ topbonus frequent flyer programme. Participants in the topbonus scheme can also use the fast lanes at security, which cut waiting times and enhance the overall experience. airberlin plans to open an exclusive lounge area in the second quarter of the year, adding those already available in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn and Munich. Travellers at Check-in 1 will also find two outsized luggage drop-offs, two customs desks and a porter service. Passengers travelling with airlines in the airberlin group can use the nearby multi-storey car park 3 (Parkhaus 3), where a short, covered walkway leads directly to the terminal building. Here, holders of platinum, gold and silver topbonus cards will have access to parking specially reserved for their exclusive use.
