Hotel Nikko Bali Saves the Earth by Planting Indian Almond Trees on Earth Day

Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia, 2022-Apr-25 — /Travel PR News/ —Ways to save Mother Earth, no matter how small it is when it is done continuously will impact the positive one to the planet we live in.

To celebrate the annual global event of Earth Day on 22nd April 2022, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach has taken action to plant the Indian almond trees in the garden next to the beach in front of the resort. The activity was participated by the Green Team of hotel employees.

“The Indian almond tree is fast-growing in coastal thickets, beaches, and gardens. The plant is adapted to a wide range of soils with a wide pH range from 4 to 8. There are a number of reasons for our decision to add Indian almond to our garden located next to the shore, such as its capacity for protecting coastal regions and a vast root system which holds bad soil together. As we all know, Earth is the only place of residence, thus, it must be saved from threats at all costs” Said Masaya Hasebe, General Manager of Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach.

Apart from planting trees, the resort also cleaned up the beach covering an area of 1,700 meters in front of the resort by picking up trash, especially the plastic waste and leveling the sand in the beach volleyball area.

He also added, “We are reviving our Nikko Farm which has several vegetables and herbs grown in the soil. Besides being aligned with our sustainability program, this is one of our efforts for our value guests by serving organic and fresh food from the garden to the table who wish to control their nutrition intake.
