Hamburg Airport welcomes SUN-AIR’s inaugural flight to Friedrichshafen

SUN-AIR celebrated inaugural flight for daily service to Friedrichshafen

Hamburg, Germany, 2019-Jan-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Just 80 minutes to Lake Constance: the Danish regional airline, SUN-AIR, returned to Hamburg Airport this week with two daily flights to Friedrichshafen. SUN-AIR has been active in regional air transport for 40 years, and has been a British Airways (BA) franchise partner since August 1996. All flights are operated under BA flight numbers, and the aircraft bear British Airways livery.

SUN-AIR is serving the Friedrichshafen route twice daily since Monday as a morning and evening service. “The ideal flight times make this an efficient connection between Hamburg and the four-countries region, especially for our many business travellers,” says Dr Joergen Kearsley, Director Aviation Marketing at Hamburg Airport. “But Friedrichshafen is also an ideal starting point for leisure trips to Lake Constance and the nearby skiing regions. I am thrilled to have SUN-AIR bring this important connection back to our route network.”

“We are very pleased to be back in Hamburg and we are convinced our new service to Friedrichshafen will be successful based on the forward bookings,” says Kristian Tvergaard, Commercial Director at SUN-AIR.

The route is being operated with 32-seat Dornier 328 jets. On-board service is aligned with business class, reflected in the snack and drinks offered.
