Fresh Career Opportunities: Ryanair Opens 50 Cabin Crew Roles Across Shannon and Cork for 2026 Operations

(NEWS) DUBLIN, 2025-Nov-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Ryanair, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, has revealed plans to bolster its cabin crew workforce with 50 new positions spread across its Cork and Shannon bases, as part of preparations for its Summer 2026 schedule. The announcement includes 25 roles in each location, underscoring the airline’s continued investment in its Irish operations despite the current competitive backdrop in European aviation.

To attract prospective recruits, Ryanair’s recruitment partner Crewlink will host dedicated on-site events in Cork City and Shannon on November 22 and November 29 respectively. These day-long recruitment activities offer a closer look at what it means to join the airline’s cabin crew teams. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from current Ryanair crew members, providing first-hand insights on everything from day-to-day responsibilities to career opportunities within the airline. This push is just the latest in a series of hiring efforts by the Irish carrier. Earlier this year, Ryanair kicked off recruitment for 35 additional cabin crew positions at Shannon Airport for its Summer 2025 operations — a drive that included on-the-spot assessments held in Shannon and Limerick this past July.

Company spokesperson and Director of Communications, Jade Kirwan, emphasized the breadth of benefits tied to the roles, highlighting Ryanair’s industry-leading roster structure – where employees work five days followed by three days off – as well as competitive salary packages, fast-track career progression, and the lure of discounted travel across a network of more than 235 destinations.

One of the major factors fueling Ryanair’s push to hire additional cabin crew across its Irish bases is the airline’s latest investment in Shannon Airport, where it will base a fourth aircraft for Summer 2026. This move represents a US$400 million commitment to the region and supports a 15% increase in capacity, with over 180,000 extra seats and four new routes to Rome, Madrid, Warsaw, and Poznań. Alongside increased frequencies on existing routes to leisure hotspots like Alicante and Lanzarote, Ryanair’s record schedule of 30 routes from Shannon next summer is expected to drive traffic to over 2 million seats annually. According to Ryanair’s CCO Jason McGuinness, this expansion highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to regional connectivity and growth, while The Shannon Airport Group’s Interim CEO Ray O’Driscoll described it as a strong vote of confidence in the airport’s strategic development — all of which demand more crew to meet the airline’s expanding operational needs.

The recruitment events are expected to draw strong local interest, particularly among those looking for a dynamic role with travel perks. With applications open now on the Ryanair Careers website, the airline is positioning these roles as some of the most attractive in the sector, targeting individuals eager to build long-term careers in aviation in time for next summer’s operations.
