Ceviche classes, champong and stand-up paddleboarding on the activity lineup
Austin, U.S.A, 2019-Jun-13 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Austin is embracing its identity as an “urban resort” with the launch of new summer experiences and activities that make the most of the downtown Austin hotel’s lakeside location and laidback vibe.
“Our sprawling green lawn and enviable spot overlooking Lady Bird Lake give us a resort-like feel that our guests love,” says Rob Hagelberg, General Manager of the 294-room property. “This sets us apart and allows us to present activities and experiences that you wouldn’t typically expect to find at a hotel in the middle of a major city.”
Already well known for its On-Demand Margarita Cart and Guitar Concierge program, Four Seasons Hotel Austin will add the following to its summer programming in 2019:
- Something Fishy: Launched Memorial Day weekend, a complimentary ceviche cooking class introduces Hotel guests to the many styles of ceviche preparation, from Peruvian to Mexican. Held every Saturday on the outdoor patio at Ciclo, the Hotel’s Latin-inspired restaurant, the class includes tips, tricks and hands-on instruction with an optional wine or pisco pairing capping off the one-of-a-kind experience.
- But First, Champong: A college standby gets a Four Seasons update. Held beneath globe lights on the back lawn, Ciclo’s nightly offering allows guests to reserve a custom-designed Champong table with the purchase of a premium bottle of Champagne. Play classy, Austin!
- Now (SUP) Boarding: Pop the bubbly, Four Seasons Hotel Austin will soon offer guests a high-end stand-up paddleboarding experience in partnership with Veuve Clicquot. Launching on Bastille Day (July 14, 2019), the year-round package will include use of Veuve Clicquot stand-up paddleboards on Lady Bird Lake, as well as an exclusive lakeside dining experience that pairs the award-winning Champagne with a custom menu by the Hotel’s talented chefs.
- Bath Soaks: The benefits of warm baths are just now getting their due; in fact, recent studies have shown taking regular baths results in a mood-boosting effect that’s even greater than that from physical exercise. With this in mind, it’s no surprise bath soaks and other wellness-oriented offerings are being called the “new” luxury in hospitality. Starting July 1, 2019 in Austin, guests can sign up for a bath bomb workshop during which they’ll work one-on-one with a Spa manager to craft their own therapeutic soaking mixture. The daily class is available by appointment only in all suites with deep-soaking tubs, and includes one bath bomb for use during their stay and another to take home.
