Eve Air Mobility Reaches Key Certification Milestone for eVTOL Aircraft with ANAC Approval of Airworthiness Criteria

(IN SHORT) Eve Air Mobility has reached a major milestone in the certification of its eVTOL aircraft with Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) publishing the final airworthiness criteria. Following public consultation, this step advances Eve’s Type Certification process, with further work planned in collaboration with ANAC and the FAA. This progress supports Eve’s vision of developing safe, sustainable urban air mobility solutions.

(PRESS RELEASE) São José dos Campos, SP, 2024-Nov-7 — /Travel PR News/ — Eve Air Mobility (“Eve”) (NYSE: EVEX; EVEXW) has achieved a key milestone in the certification of its eVTOL aircraft as Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) publishes the final airworthiness criteria for the vehicle. This development, following a period of public consultation, marks a significant step in Eve’s certification process.

With the airworthiness criteria now established, Eve will move forward to define the compliance measures required for its eVTOL with ANAC. This step brings Eve closer to its goal of obtaining a Type Certificate for its aircraft, initially formalized with ANAC in February 2022. The certification follows standards for “special class category” aircraft, in accordance with Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulations.

Eve’s Chief Technology Officer, Luiz Valentini, highlighted the progress: “The publication of the airworthiness criteria is a crucial advancement in our certification journey. The feedback from the consultation phase has been instrumental in refining the criteria, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with ANAC for the Type Certification and with the FAA for simultaneous validation.”

Eve is committed to advancing urban air mobility through its eVTOL project, collaborating closely with aviation authorities and leading organizations to develop a safe, sustainable transportation solution. This milestone underlines Eve’s dedication to creating a reliable and efficient eVTOL, incorporating advanced technologies to support the future of air mobility.
