easyJet to open a service to Rome

2012-12-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — easyJet continues to expand its route network out of Copenhagen to European cities and will launch daily flights to Rome from April 2013.

Rome is a popular destination for business travellers as well as tourists. With daily flights, the new route will be an obvious choice for business travellers. City breaks are also popular with Danish leisure travellers, and this has been a growing market in recent years. Rome is no exception and is a very popular city destination.

“The new service to Rome underlines easyJet’s position in terms of services from Copenhagen to major European cities. We have seen a steady increase in growth and have enjoyed strong support from passengers in recent years. In November, easyJet reached the 1 million passenger mark from Copenhagen to destinations in Europe year to date,” said William Vet, easyJet’s Commercial Manager for Denmark.

Both tourists and business travellers

“The new route to Rome will give easyJet a well-developed route network out of Copenhagen to many European metropolises. This gives easyJet the opportunity to attract both business and leisure travellers; and not least the service to Rome will certainly be an attractive option for passengers from Denmark and southern Sweden looking for a city break,” said Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales & Market for Copenhagen Airports.
