Dusit Thani Manila: Learn ancient Thai desserts recipes at Benjarong

2013-05-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — Dessert is an art. Embrace your inner artist and learn the essentials of concocting and carving sweet desserts from ancient Thai recipes at Benjarong this summer as Thai chef Suwanna Puangdee shares her passion for creating Thai delicacies.

To be held every Saturday of May from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. is an exciting line up of dessert making classes. Listen intently to the seasoned Chef Suwanna as she teaches how to cook up these fabulous Thai sweets: Khanom Chan (layered jellied sweets) and Tub Tim Krob (jellied turnip in coconut milk with crushed ice and syrup) on May 4, Khanom Tua Pap (flour dumplings with bean filling) and Sago Piak Phuek (sago with yam and taro) on May 11, Khanom Fak Thong (pumpkin cake) and Khanom Yok Manee (emerald tapioca sweets) on May 18, and Look Choup (miniature fruits made from sweetened bean paste, coconut cream, gelatin and food colouring) on May 25.

Limited slots are available, and interested guests are encouraged to reserve early. For PHP 1,800 net per person every session, each student will receive an apron, recipe book and certificate from Benjarong. At the end of the class, students will leave with a sweeter disposition, a brighter enthusiasm for Thai fare and the right skills and flair for creating delectable desserts.
