Dushi Curaçao: airberlin celebrates one year of non-stop service

2012-11-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — For the past year airberlin has been providing a service between Dusseldorf, the regional capital of North Rhine Westphalia, and Curacao, or “Dushi Curacao” (Wonderful Curacao), as the residents of the Caribbean island call it in their creole dialect known as Papiamentu. On 15th November 2011, airberlin became the only airline in Germany to introduce a non-stop service to Curacao and since then has been operating flights to the largest island in the former Dutch Antilles on Tuesday every week with an Airbus A330-200.

“The long-haul connection between our hub in Dusseldorf and Curacao has seen positive growth over the past year. We operate feeder flights from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark, offering optimal connections for transit passengers. Dusseldorf International Airport is also very easily accessible for passengers from the Netherlands, thanks to its location near the border and the good transport links available,” said Paul Gregorowitsch, Chief Commercial Officer at airberlin.

Feeder flights are available from Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. Tickets to Curaçao can be booked on the Internet at airberlin.com, through the company‘s Service Center by calling 030 / 3434 3434 (local rate call) or at a travel agents.
