Doncaster, England, 2016-Aug-17 — /Travel PR News/ — PASSENGERS flying from Yorkshire’s Doncaster Sheffield Airport can now head to the channel island of Guernsey thanks to a new Flybe connection.
The island, known for beach resorts like Cobo Bay and the scenery of its coastal cliffs, can now be reached by flying from Doncaster and connecting at Jersey.
Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development for Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “We are delighted that Flybe have been able to add Guernsey as an onward connection from Jersey, making another of the Channel Island’s accessible to our passengers.
“During the summer months this connection will operate daily and during the winter months it will connect 3 times a week.
“Working with Flybe we are providing great connectivity to our passengers and increasing the number of destinations they can reach by flying from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.”
Guernsey is home to Castle Cornet, a 13th-century harbour fortification in the capital of St. Peter Port, which now contains history and military museums. Visitors can also enjoy a trip to Hauteville House, the lavish former home of French writer Victor Hugo.
“This is a great place to enjoy some traditional family seaside fun, go Dolphin spotting or surfing and try to spot a blue hedgehog in Alderney!” added Chris.
