2012-12-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Holger Hätty, Chief Commercial Officer and member of the Management Board of Swiss International Air Lines, is to leave the company for personal reasons.
Holger Hätty (54) will step down as SWISS’s Chief Commercial Officer at the beginning of 2013 after more than three years in the position. His departure is entirely by amicable agreement. The SWISS Board of Directors and CEO Harry Hohmeister have agreed to Holger Hätty’s request to enable him to take a sabbatical of several months and devote himself to his family. Holger Hätty will, however, remain available to SWISS from time to time if and when required over the next few months.
Before joining SWISS as Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Management Board in July 2009, Holger Hätty had held various executive positions within the Lufthansa Group over the previous 18 years, including serving as a member of the Management Board of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. As SWISS’s CCO he has been in overall charge of the company’s product & services, marketing, revenue management & pricing and sales worldwide.
“Holger Hätty has been instrumental in many ways to the recent development of our airline,” says CEO Harry Hohmeister. “He played a leading role in SWISS’s integration into the Lufthansa Group, and was also a driving force behind the new positioning of the SWISS brand and our new communicative presentation. We offer him our sincere thanks for all his energies and endeavours over the past few years on our company’s behalf.”
The overall management of SWISS’s Commercial Division will be assumed by CEO Harry Hohmeister until a new CCO is installed.
