Austrian Airlines names Erik Mosch as new Head of Product Management

Erik Mosch has been appointed to serve as the new Head of Product Management at Austrian Airlines. In this capacity he will be responsible for all products of the airline, from catering and seat development to additional services such as upgrades or partnerships. With respect to the field of these so-called “ancillary services”, he is also in charge of “Product Management Ancillary Services” for the entire Lufthansa Group. Erik Mosch succeeds Andrea Pernkopf, who switched to become the new Managing Director of Help Alliance, the charity of the Lufthansa Group.

Erik Mosch (48) has a degree in economics from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and a Master’s in Management from McGill University Montreal. After his education and various positions with a large German bank, Erik Mosch joined Lufthansa Cargo in October 2000 as Executive Board Advisor for Corporate Strategy, and subsequently served as Director Commercial & Legal of Aerologic GmbH, playing an essential role in developing this joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and Deutsche Post. In 2006, Erik Mosch accepted a position at Lufthansa as Director of the Competence Center and Service Center” with responsibility for global aircraft handling and baggage. He was then named Head of Product Management Airport and Passenger Services and was in charge of reorienting customer touchpoints (online, airport, call center), amongst other tasks, with the purpose of creating a consistent customer experience. Between 2013 and 2018, Mosch served as CEO of Lufthansa InTouch (formerly Global Tele Sales) in Berlin and was thus responsible for global customer servicing at Lufthansa. Erik Mosch is married and is the father of two children.
