(PRESS RELEASE) MALDIVES, 2026-Mar-19 — /Travel PR News/ — Anantara Veli Maldives Resort is placing culinary creativity in the spotlight with the launch of its fourth Michelin Star Guest Chef Series, this time presenting a distinctive all-female lineup of internationally acclaimed chefs. Set against the serene backdrop of the Maldives’ lagoon waters, the series brings together leading culinary talents from across the globe to deliver a sequence of exclusive dining experiences that celebrate both innovation and the growing influence of women in fine dining.
The programme, which began earlier this year, opened with Chef Caterina Ceraudo, whose cuisine draws deeply from the traditions of Southern Italy while incorporating a modern perspective. Her dishes reflected a strong connection to regional heritage, showcasing carefully sourced ingredients and refined culinary techniques. Following her, Chef Gabriela Chamorro introduced guests to bold, contemporary flavours inspired by Dubai’s diverse dining culture, with creations that balanced sweetness, richness and coastal freshness.
The series continues with an impressive roster of chefs, each bringing a unique culinary identity. Among them is Chef Kelly Rangama, a Michelin-starred chef and winner of Top Chef France, known for blending her Creole roots with refined French gastronomy. Her interpretation of Rougail Saucisse reimagines a traditional Réunion Island dish with elevated technique and presentation.
Chef Emily Roux, representing one of Britain’s most renowned culinary families, also joins the lineup. Recognised for her work at Caractère in London, she brings a sophisticated approach to French cuisine, exemplified by dishes such as seared John Dory paired with beurre blanc and seasonal vegetables. Meanwhile, Chef Nao Motohashi of Restaurant JULIA introduces the elegance and precision of Japanese culinary philosophy, focusing on seasonal ingredients and a delicate balance of flavour, texture and visual presentation.
Broadening the scope beyond Michelin-starred chefs, the programme also features emerging and award-winning talents. These include Chef Iris Jordan Martin, recipient of the 2025 Michelin Guide Young Chef Award, Chef Ash Valenzuela-Heeger from Birmingham’s Riverine Rabbit, and Chef Niyati Rao of Ekaa in Bombay, each contributing their own creative perspectives to the series.
Culinary Director Chef Francis Purification highlighted the significance of the all-female concept, noting that while the culinary world has traditionally been male-dominated, there is a wealth of female talent deserving of greater recognition. He added that the initiative not only celebrates these chefs but also provides valuable learning opportunities for the resort’s culinary team.
Beyond exclusive dinners, each residency is designed as an immersive experience, featuring collaborative cooking sessions, interactive classes, and communal long-table dinners. These elements allow guests to engage more deeply with the chefs, gaining insight into the inspirations, techniques, and cultural stories behind each dish.
