Alitalia resumes direct flights between Rome and Amman this summer

ROME, Italy, 2016-Mar-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Alitalia is returning to Jordan again this summer. From 27 March, the Italian airline will resume direct flights between Rome and Amman offering up to 5 flights a week this summer. The connection between the two capital cities is one of the fastest growing for Alitalia. Last year, from April to October over 25,000 passengers travelled between the two countries: 20% more than in 2014. Thanks to convenient connections at Alitalia’s Fiumicino hub, travellers departing from Amman will be able to continue their journeys to 26 Italian airports and over 50 other destinations in Europe, Asia, North and South America, including Santiago (from 1 May) and Mexico City (from 16 June). Alitalia MilleMiglia members will also be able to earn and spend their points on these flights.

The new Rome-Amman service will be operated by Airbus A320 medium-haul aircraft, offering passengers to experience Alitalia’s new service and cabin interiors. Renovation of the airline’s medium-haul fleet will be completed by the end of April. If needed, passengers travelling on to other destinations from the Fiumicino hub will be assisted by our new Transit Teams, who will accompany them straight to the departure gate for their ongoing flight. Business and Economy class tickets can be purchased at alitalia.com, by calling the Customer Centre for Jordan at +962 6 5100 766, at travel agencies and at airport ticket desks.
