Alitalia cancelled all flights to and from the Belgian capital today following explosions in Brussels

ROME, Italy, 2016-Mar-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Following multiple explosions in Brussels, Alitalia has cancelled all flights to and from the Belgian capital today. The airport will remain closed until further notice.

The airline is providing all necessary assistance to passengers by re-booking their journeys or providing them with re-routing options.

AZ 148 from Milan Linate to Brussels, already in the air at the time of the explosions, was diverted to the nearby Liege airport where it landed regularly at 8:33am. The same aircraft returned to Milan Linate where it has landed at 11:30am.

AZ 157 Brussels-Rome took off regularly from Brussels at 7:12 am and landed in Fiumicino airport at 9:02 am.

No Alitalia staff members have been involved or injured during the event.

Customers booked on Alitalia’s flights to and from Brussels between Tuesday March 22 and Tuesday March 29 can change their travel arrangements without charge, or ask for a full refund of their ticket.
