ZURICH, Switzerland, 2018-Mar-23 — /Travel PR News/ — The summer timetable takes effect again at Zurich Airport with the switch to summer time on 25 March 2018. It will remain in force until Saturday, 27 October 2018. Different opening hours also apply to the observation decks.
SWISS is adding two new destinations in France to the 2018 summer timetable. It will offer twelve weekly services between Zurich and Bordeaux from the end of March. As of 21 April 2018, Zurich’s hub carrier will also offer three weekly flights to Marseille. The direct service from Zurich to Wroclaw, introduced in the 2017/18 winter timetable, will be continued. SWISS now also has four weekly direct flights to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. Edelweiss Air, which is also part of the Lufthansa Group, will offer two new long-haul destinations starting this summer: From 4 June 2018 the airline will fly twice a week to Denver and, as of 22 September 2018, to the Seychelles on Saturdays.
China’s Sichuan Airlines now flies three times a week from Chengdu to Zurich with a stopover in Prague. Moreover, Air Canada will offer three weekly flights from Zurich to Vancouver as of 8 June 2018. United Airlines is also expanding its route network with a daily flight between Zurich and San Francisco from 8 June to 27 October 2018. American Airlines will now be flying to its hub airport Philadelphia instead of New York. Cyprus Airways will offer its first service between Larnaca and Zurich from 26 May until 27 October 2018. Laudamotion now flies in cooperation with Condor from Zurich to popular holiday destinations in Spain, Greece and Italy. From May 2018, Germania will fly to from Zurich to Corfu, Ibiza, Teneriffe and Zadar. From 26 March to 27 October, easyJet will be flying from Zurich to Porto three times a week (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday).
Different opening hours for observation decks
The summer opening hours apply to observation deck B from 25 March until 27 October. The popular excursion destination is thus open again to visitors daily from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. The observation deck at Dock E will also re-open to the public from 25 March. Observation deck E will be accessible to visitors to the airport on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and on public holidays by free shuttle bus from observation deck B.
