Bristol Airport Appoints Zoom Cars as New Official Taxi Operator Under Five-Year Agreement

(IN SHORT) Bristol Airport has appointed Zoom Cars as its new official on-airport taxi operator from 1 February under a five-year contract, replacing Arrow Cars after more than ten years of service. The family-run Bristol firm was selected for its strong employee standards, modern and increasingly electric fleet, and commitment to sustainability and customer service. With enhanced driver training, accessible vehicles, and plans for a fully electric fleet by 2030, Zoom Cars aims to improve passenger experience while reducing emissions and unnecessary vehicle movements at the airport.

(PRESS RELEASE) BRISTOL, UK, 2026-Jan-30 — /Travel PR News/ —Bristol Airport has appointed family-run local taxi firm Zoom Cars as its new on-airport taxi operator, with the service launching from Sunday 1 February. Under a newly awarded five-year contract, Zoom Cars will provide passengers with high-quality transport services to Bristol, North Somerset, and destinations beyond the region.

The Bristol-based operator secured the tender following a competitive selection process that assessed service quality, employee standards, fleet investment, and environmental performance. Zoom Cars was chosen for its strong commitment to driver training and welfare, a modern fleet with many vehicles less than two years old, and clear sustainability credentials, including a pledge to operate an entirely electric fleet by 2030. A significant number of vehicles are already electric, while wheelchair-accessible cars are currently hybrid or fully electric.

Zoom Cars takes over from Arrow Cars, which has been based at Bristol Airport for more than a decade. The existing taxi office, located on the forecourt between the Public Transport Interchange and the terminal building, will be refurbished and rebranded in the coming weeks. Customers will be able to pre-book journeys online or by phone, or arrange travel on arrival at the airport, before collecting vehicles from dedicated taxi bays on the upper level of the Public Transport Interchange.

The partnership is also expected to improve operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary vehicle movements. With established business accounts across the city, Zoom Cars aims to minimise empty return journeys, supporting lower emissions and smoother ground transport operations at the airport.

Founded in 2020, Zoom Cars is led by Chief Executive Officer Sahara Parvaz alongside her father Mohammad Parvaz, known in the local taxi industry as “Mr P”, who brings decades of experience from operating some of Bristol’s largest taxi firms. The company remains firmly family-run, with Naheed Parvaz overseeing driver welfare, Fatima Parvaz responsible for safety and compliance, and Usman Parvaz working within the control room. Zoom Cars employs a large in-house driver workforce, all of whom receive enhanced training, including vulnerable passenger awareness and child safeguarding.

The appointment reflects Bristol Airport’s focus on customer experience, ethical employment practices, and the transition toward lower-emission ground transport. By introducing a modern, increasingly electric taxi fleet operated by a locally rooted business, the airport aims to deliver reliable, responsible, and high-quality onward travel for passengers.
