(PRESS RELEASE) HONG KONG, 2025-Jun-27 — /Travel PR News/ — The Hong Kong International Airport Career Expo 2025 is officially underway as of today, jointly presented by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and the Labour Department. Over the next three days, more than 3,000 positions with roughly 40 airport-community employers will be on offer. Prospective candidates can explore roles in areas such as inflight and ground services, aircraft upkeep, airfreight logistics, security operations, baggage handling, catering and more.

At the opening ceremony, Mable Chan, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, and Vivian Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK, marked the start of the expo. Vivian Cheung highlighted the vision behind Hong Kong’s “Airport City,” an integrated hub uniting aviation, tourism, logistics, retail and entertainment with seamless links to downtown Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and international destinations. She emphasized the importance of a skilled workforce, noting that AAHK is committed to continuous professional development, staff welfare and broadening career appeal, reflecting her confidence in Hong Kong’s aviation prospects.

With over 3,000 job openings across approximately 40 companies from the airport community, this three-day event offers opportunities from a variety of sectors.

Secretary Chan underscored Hong Kong’s status as a premier global aviation hub, pointing to the Three-Runway System’s November debut and the ensuing uptick in passenger and cargo traffic. She detailed the government’s initiatives—such as the Maritime and Aviation Talent Fund and the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy—to cultivate local talent and encourage ongoing education among aviation professionals. Chan invited attendees to consider joining HKIA and contributing to Hong Kong’s aviation success story.

AAHK itself is recruiting for over 70 openings in fields including airfield operations, baggage handling, aviation logistics, E&M and systems engineering, and IT. At the expo, AAHK representatives will also provide insights on four flagship talent programmes—the Management Trainee, Graduate Engineer, new IT Trainee and Summer Internship schemes—through dedicated career talks and interview-prep sessions.

In total, airport employers have scheduled 25 career talks covering emerging recruitment trends, career planning and interview strategies; many will conduct on-site interviews. Visitors can also take advantage of complimentary services: CV clinics, professional portrait photography, personal-colour analysis and MBTI assessments.
