(PRESS RELEASE) DOHA, 2025-May-5 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways has once again showcased its commitment to supporting neurodivergent passengers by partnering with the Shafallah Centre for Persons with Disabilities to mark Autism Awareness Month this April. As part of this partnership, the airline introduced limited-edition amenity kits featuring artwork from autistic artists and illuminated its headquarters in blue to raise awareness.

Throughout April, the airline held several initiatives, including an employee event at Hamad International Airport to spotlight the airline’s sensory lounge. This event emphasized the importance of supporting passengers with autism and showcased the tools available at the lounge, designed to assist those with sensory sensitivities.

Qatar Airways’ long-haul Economy Cabin passengers were provided with amenity kits featuring artwork from four talented artists at the Shafallah Centre for Persons with Disabilities, while Premium Cabin passengers also received kits in honor of Autism Awareness Month. The airline also hosted educational seminars and a cabin crew visit to the Shafallah Centre, where gifts were presented to individuals with autism.

In addition to these efforts, Qatar Airways highlighted its year-round commitment to supporting individuals with autism. The airline’s Muzn Lounge at Hamad International Airport, a sensory room created to provide a safe space for travelers with autism, offers interactive sensory elements designed to reduce stress during travel. Qatar Airways continues to provide workshops for its staff to enhance the travel experience for neurodivergent passengers.

Qatar Airways has been collaborating with Shafallah Centre for over a decade, with more than 55 individuals with autism and mental disabilities employed at the Qatar Airways Shafallah Department. This initiative not only empowers individuals but also contributes to sustainability by recycling 1,000 Premium Cabin amenity kits daily.

To access the Muzn Lounge while traveling, passengers can input the code “DPNA” when booking or during check-in to receive guidance to the lounge.
