Carrabba’s Italian Grill opens at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

HMSHost brings traditional Italian family dining to the center of Concourse C

ATLANTA, GA, 2015-9-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Passion for food, heritage, love of family, and genuine Italian hospitality from Carrabba’s Italian Grill can now be found in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s Concourse C, as global restaurateur HMSHost has partnered with Bloomin’ Brands and the Airport to open a new location for travelers to enjoy. HMSHost’s joint venture partners in Atlanta include Chow Baby Ponce, LLC, The Pecan, Inc., and Master Concessionair-ATL, LLC. Today, HMSHost and the Airport celebrated with grand opening festivities; formally extending a warm “ciao” and inviting travelers to dine on Italian specialties made from original family recipes handed down over four generations.

“We are very proud to be opening this beautiful restaurant with our Carrabba’s partners at Bloomin’ Brands and with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” said HMSHost Vice president of Business Development Kent Vanden Oever. “Carrabba’s Italian Grill is known for its lively atmosphere and for creating an authentic Italian culinary experience with a focus on the simple idea that sharing food isn’t just about eating, that it is actually what connects us to each other. With genuine hospitality and quality ingredients, Carrabba’s and HMSHost now have the opportunity to foster these connections for travelers on the move.”

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are created with a balanced and seasonal approach to cooking used for generations in Italy. House specialties will include Carrabba’s modern takes on traditional favorites like crispy calamari, chicken Marsala, and handmade pizzas baked in a wood-burning oven. Carrabba’s “Thrill of the Grill” entrees will be featured as well including fresh fish, seafood, and meats basted in special seasonings then grilled to your liking over a wood-fired grill and served with a variety of homemade sauces.

For the “bambini” (younger guests), a special menu including pasta, chicken fingers, and kid-size pizzas will keep the little ones content before their flight. A full breakfast menu can be enjoyed before early flights with a selection of frittatas and Italian omelets served with fresh fruit and grilled ciabatta toast, in addition to an array of breakfast paninis.

Since the opening of the first Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Houston in 1986, every restaurant still prepares each dish by hand and sources the finest ingredients from around the world, such as pasta from a small town near Pompeii and Marsala wine made by the Lombardo family in Sicily. Dishes at this new location will bear the same lineage; one that begins with the Italian family recipes founding partners Damian Manodla and John Charles Carrabba III originally built the company on.
