Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains
(IN SHORT) This summer, World of Hyatt launches Camp Unwritten, an exclusive literary glamping series in collaboration with Reese’s Book Club and Under Canvas. Participants can book immersive weekend retreats—July in Columbia River Gorge with Alexene Farol Follmuth, July in the Great Smoky Mountains with Ally Condie, and August in Moab with the July 2025 Reese’s Book Club mystery author—for fireside author events, starlit toasts, and guided nature activities. Members who stay at Under Canvas or ULUM through Hyatt in June also receive a one-year Headspace subscription. Additional summer perks include AAdvantage® bonus miles at Under Canvas and Hyatt points plus Avis rental discounts, while new locations like Fields of Michigan broaden outdoor escape options.
(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO, 2025-Jun-11 — /Travel PR News/ — This summer, World of Hyatt members are invited to step into “Camp Unwritten,” a bespoke glamping experience crafted in partnership with Reese’s Book Club and Under Canvas. Blending the enchantment of literature with the comforts of luxury camping, these limited-availability stays turn every guest into the protagonist of their own summer story—complete with curated book moments around a cozy campfire and outdoor adventures under starlit skies.
“Between the rise of BookTok, Bookstagram, and the surge in experiential travel, we saw a unique opportunity,” said Laurie Blair, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Hyatt. “Camp Unwritten offers members a chance to unplug and immerse themselves in author-led programming, fireside readings, and awe-inspiring landscapes, all while experiencing the joy of being the lead in their summer novel.”

Under Canvas Columbia River Gorge
A Campfire Novel Come to Life
Rather than a traditional book club, Camp Unwritten transports guests to remote Under Canvas properties where they can meet bestselling and Reese’s Book Club–selected authors in person. Highlights include:
July 14–16 at Under Canvas Columbia River Gorge with Alexene Farol Follmuth (Twelfth Knight), featuring fireside s’mores, a private starlit toast, and an early look at her upcoming novel Girl Dinner.
July 28–30 at Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains with Ally Condie (author of The Unwedding), for an intimate campfire chat and evening conversation beneath the heavens.
August 19–21 at ULUM Moab with the July 2025 Reese’s Book Club mystery pick (to be announced), combining s’mores by the fire with guided explorations of Looking Glass Arch.
“At Hello Sunshine, we believe stories bring people together,” added Sarah Harden, CEO of Hello Sunshine. “Our collaboration with World of Hyatt brings Reese’s Book Club favorites to life, forging meaningful connections beneath the stars.”
Write Your Own Chapter
Members unable to join these curated weekends can still craft their own Camp Unwritten adventure at any Under Canvas or ULUM location booked through Hyatt in June. All such stays include a complimentary one-year Headspace subscription for continued mindfulness beyond camp.
More Ways to Earn and Explore
New destinations like Fields of Michigan—now available through World of Hyatt—expand the possibilities for outdoor escapes. From June 15 to September 15, 2025, members earn 1 AAdvantage® bonus mile per $1 spent at Under Canvas when booked via Hyatt (registration by September 14 required). Members also earn 500 World of Hyatt Bonus Points and up to 35% off Avis rentals (AWD K817738) on car bookings beginning by December 31, 2025.
