Berlin, Germany, 2014-2-27 — /Travel PR News/ — In winter 2014/15 airberlin will be increasing the frequency of its flights to the Caribbean and at the same time further expanding its tourist services from Dusseldorf and Munich. From November 2014 there will be two extra non-stop flights from Dusseldorf to Varadero in Cuba and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. These two long-haul destinations will be available to airberlin guests from Munich as well. This means that airberlin adds four flights from Dusseldorf and Munich, making a total of eight weekly flights to Puerto Plata and Varadero. The additional flights will depart every Monday, Wednesday and Friday using an Airbus A330-200.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO airberlin, said of the network expansion: “airberlin’s comprehensive range of products for tourists, with flights to the most attractive holiday destinations around the world, is one of our strengths. Now we are continuing to build on this capability with additional flights to Puerto Plata and Varadero. Altogether, flight guests in winter will be able to choose from 20 flights per week to long-haul destinations with guaranteed sunshine, including Puerto Plata and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Varadero in Cuba, Cancún in Mexico and the ABC island of Curaçao. In winter, for example, airberlin offers a connection every day from Germany to Punta Cana.”
All departures to Puerto Plata depart from Dusseldorf on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:00 and from Munich on Wednesdays at 8:50 and Sundays at 10:35. The return flights are scheduled for the same days in the afternoon, taking off at 17:00 local time for Dusseldorf and for Munich on Wednesdays at 16:20 and Sundays at 18:05. For guests flying to Varadero, the flights from Dusseldorf go every Wednesday and Sunday at 9:20. The return flight is scheduled for 17:00. For guests travelling from Munich to Cuba, the Airbus
A330-200 takes off on Mondays at 11:45 and Thursdays at 10:15. On this route, the aircraft also boasts a new Business Class configuration.

Convenient connecting flights can be booked to Dusseldorf for guests from Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. There is also a choice of international connecting flights to Dusseldorf, from Copenhagen, Milan, Vienna and Zurich.
