Montréal, 2013-05-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — While food remains the focus of Anthony Bourdain’s newest television venture with CNN, “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown” VIA Rail Canada (viarail.ca) made a cameo appearance in the most recent episode, “Canada” (Ep. 4). Bourdain, along with Fred Morin and Dave McMillan, co-owners of the Montréal restaurant Joe Beef and avid train buffs, traveled in VIA Rail’s Business Class from Montréal to Québec.
“We are very excited that Parts Unknown selected VIA Rail to show the product and service of VIA Rail in Canada. Canada’s history and growth are closely tied to train travel so it truly is wonderful to see that story being told on such a popular program,” said Steve Del Bosco, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of VIA Rail. “We invite all viewers to see our breathtaking country aboard the train – it’s an unforgettable experience.”
Highlighting train travel as an integral part of Canada’s history, the trio enjoyed all of the amenities of VIA Rail’s Business class on this popular route as well as privileged access to the in-station Business lounges, priority boarding, complimentary newspapers, Wi-Fi and on-board hot breakfast. While discussing Canada’s train evolution, the group enjoyed picturesque views of the Eastern Canada’s landscape.
The “Canada” episode is set to air again on CNN on Saturday, May 11th at 10 p.m. ET, 1 a.m. ET, 4 a.m. ET, and on Sunday, May 12th at 8 p.m. ET. To view the episode, please visit the CNN channel on YouTube.
