United Airlines Pilot Capt. Anne Worster Elected as MEC Chair by Air Line Pilots Association

(IN SHORT) The United Airlines Master Executive Council (MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) has elected Capt. Anne Worster as the new chair of the pilot group. Capt. Worster, a 27-year United Airlines pilot, Gulf War veteran, and U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, currently serves as vice chair and first officer representative for Council 11 (DCA) and chair and captain representative-elect for the MEC. She expressed her commitment to lead the 17,000 United Airlines pilots, emphasizing solidarity and shared dedication to navigating change and elevating their collective journey over the next two years. Capt. Brian Noyes was reelected as MEC vice chair, Capt. Nic Harwood was elected as MEC secretary, and Capt. Andrew Minarcik was reelected as MEC treasurer for the upcoming two-year term starting on March 1, 2024.

(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO, IL, 2024-Jan-18 — /Travel PR News/ — The United Airlines Master Executive Council (MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) elected Capt. Anne Worster to serve as the pilot group’s next chair.

Worster is a 27-year United Airlines pilot, currently based in Washington, D.C., on the B-777. She is the current vice chair and first officer representative for Council 11 (DCA) and chair and captain representative-elect for the MEC. Her past ALPA service includes the Elections Ballot and Certification Board, Legislative Committee chair, and 747 fleet safety representative.

Worster is also a Gulf War veteran, who served as a KC-135 pilot executing aerial refueling missions. She is a 1985 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

“I am humbled to lead 17,000 United Airlines pilots,” said Worster. “I am confident that together, we will continue to navigate change, bound by solidarity and fueled by a shared commitment to elevate our collective journey over the next two years and beyond.”

Capt. Brian Noyes was reelected as MEC vice chair, Capt. Nic Harwood was elected as MEC secretary, and Capt. Andrew Minarcik was reelected as MEC treasurer.

The four MEC officers will serve a two-year term from March 1, 2024, through February 28, 2026.
