Alternative GDS provider now available in the region giving customers choice
Casablanca, Morocco, 2012-12-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, has today announced the appointment of Global Solutions Travel as its new distributor in Morocco.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Global Solutions Travel will have exclusive rights to distribute Galileo technology and services in Morocco, providing travel agencies in the region with access to extensive global travel content, leading edge technology as well as customer support and training.
Global Solutions Travel will be headed up by Houcine Assouel, a respected leader with a travel industry career spanning more than 20 years. Assouel has a strong sales and general operations background, in both the airline and retail sectors. “The travel trade in Morocco will now have a wider choice when selecting a GDS partner, and I am confident that the region will benefit from Travelport’s investment. Our focus will be in providing innovative technology solutions and developing solid and trusted partnerships with them,” said Assouel, general manager of Global Solutions Travel.
