Frankfurt am Main, 2014-12-18 — /Travel PR News/ — The Europäischer Hof, the founding hotel of the Steigenberger Hotel Group, is to remain in the company’s portfolio for at least twenty more years. After completing an extensive renovation and modernisation programme, the Steigenberger Hotel Group will operate the hotel under a management agreement.
Both – renovation and modernisation – form part of a purchasing agreement that has now been signed. The acquiring party is the Mainz-based firm Europäischer Hof Kaiserallee Immobilien GmbH & Co KG.
The two companies have both agreed that the Europäischer Hof should be brought back up to Grand Hotel Standard as quickly as possible. Therefore a significant amount will be invested. The hotel has already been closed to guests in order to facilitate optimum preparation of the planning and construction phase.
Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, stated: “Albert Steigenberger began the successful history of the company by launching the Europäischer Hof in Baden-Baden in 1930. We are proud of being able to restore this international and traditional hotel to its former glory.”
