San Antonio, TX, 2013-08-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — The San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau has hit the mark of certifying 1,000 Certified Tourism Ambassadors (CTA). Out of all of the programs in the nation, San Antonio has the highest number of current, active CTAs in the country. The San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau completed its goal of having 1,000 local CTAs one full month ahead of schedule under the leadership of executive director, Casandra Matej [pictured], within the program’s inaugural year.
“Enhancing the visitor experience was a top priority for the SACVB this year and we are thrilled that the San Antonio hospitality community has embraced the nationally acclaimed Certified Tourism Ambassador program. We are proud that our partners have utilized the certification curriculum as a way to invest in their employees and to ensure that every visitor continues to receive the exceptional service that San Antonio is known for,” stated Casandra Matej, executive director of the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Anyone is eligible for the program and may enroll in open certification sessions scheduled monthly or work with their employers to host sessions in the work place. Upon completing the 4-hour session, individuals will be nationally certified and leave knowing how to provide visitors with superb service and timely, useful information about San Antonio and the region.
