The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and MTA will offer free LaGuardia Link Q70 buses from April 17-26, 2019

Service provides convenient connection for travelers to New York City subway and Long Island Railroad

New York City, New York, United States, 2019-Apr-17 — /Travel PR News/ — The Port Authority and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will offer free LaGuardia Link Q70 buses from 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 through 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019. The service is aimed at encouraging use of mass transit and efficiently moving passengers to and from the airport during the Easter holiday weekend.

The LaGuardia Link provides non-stop service linking the main terminals of the airport (Terminals B, C and D) with the New York City subway and Long Island Railroad transit hubs in Jackson Heights and Woodside, Queens.

With more than 840,000 passengers expected to use LaGuardia during this holiday period, a comprehensive Port Authority traffic management plan has been developed in partnership with the MTA to meet higher-than-normal traveler demand. Plans are in place to ease roadway congestion and facilitate improved passenger movement during ongoing work generated by the construction of the entirely new LaGuardia Airport.

Additionally, the M60 Select Bus Service will continue to provide service from Manhattan to Terminal A on its route for both pick-ups and drop-offs, while continuing its current service to Terminals B, C and D.

Travelers are urged to contact their carriers on flight status and access updated traffic information prior to leaving for the airport, while allowing extra time to get to and from the airport. Airport traffic conditions are regularly updated and communicated via @LGAairport on Twitter and LaGuardiaAirport.com.

Additional tips for passengers and motorists can be found on the airport’s website at http://laguardiaairport.com/at-airport/tips.
