The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton – Guest Room

This meticulously restored building, dating back to 1895, once housed an artisan bakery and hotel for nearly nine decades. An £11 million refurbishment preserves original mosaic signage, decorative floor tiles and the tiled façade, while historical photographs throughout the corridors celebrate Portrush’s Victorian resort legacy. Interiors draw from the coastal palette of crashing waves and sweeping dunes, blending contemporary furnishings with local craftsmanship. Each guest room features crisp white linens, nautical-themed artworks and a signature canopy nodding to Marcus’s journey.

Culinary offerings include Nemesis, an Asian-fusion restaurant named after the mythical giant octopus from Marcus’s tales. The menu reimagines regional favourites—such as Irish sirloin steak paired with bone marrow butter and Asian steak sauce—alongside vibrant dishes like beef bibimbap crowned with a fried egg. At The Heritage Cocktail Bar, low ceilings and textured woodwork evoke a cosy harbour tavern, where cocktails crafted from artisan Irish spirits shine. Signature creations include the Orra Margarita, marrying traditional Poitín with mango notes in homage to the twisting Orra Drive through the Antrim Glens.
