2013-03-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — This summer, guests can immerse themselves in Wyoming’s expansive sky, rushing rivers and grand beauty while riding alongside the Teton mountain range on an exclusive Fitzgerald’s Bicycles tour with Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. On these new tours, guests ride through four distinct regions of Jackson Hole and Teton Valley, sampling the authentic Wild West.
Pedals to Peaks is a multi-day, experiential road biking package includes numerous rides into the Grand Tetons, as well as along the Snake River, where guests will soak up the untamed beauty of the natural area. Additionally, the package includes luxurious accommodations and relaxation at Wyoming’s only AAA Five-Diamond resort.
Upon arrival to the Resort, guests enjoy a welcome reception with expert local guides who will share tips and tricks to taking cycling to the next level. Topics will include appropriate riding etiquette, techniques, and what it means to be properly “fitted” to a machine.
Day two will begin with spectacular views of Jackson Hole and its surrounding peaks during a local ride. Elevation change will be minimal to help travellers acclimate before tackling higher roads later in the weekend.
Day three takes guests to Victor, Idaho. Starting from Fitzgerald’s Bicycles, and then heading North toward Driggs and the centre of Teton Valley. Guests will ride up Grand Targhee Ski Resort and Ski Hill Road, enjoying breathtaking, panoramic views of the surrounding Tetons.
In the afternoon, riders refuel with energizing provisions, and then descend back down for an up-close look at the Grand Teton. After lunch, the group will take the long way back to Victor on quiet country roads as the slower pace of Teton Valley sinks in.
The package experience ends with a visit to Alpine, Wyoming, and a drive through Snake River Canyon, located south of Jackson Hole. A morning cycle through the Palisades Reservoir along the river will amp riders for the final climb up Pine Creek Pass. The last ride ends back in Victor, where guests will meet their transportation and enjoy a scenic drive over Teton Pass and back to Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole.
