“We’re excited to expand our ultra-low cost service options in the greater New York/New Jersey area through Newark Liberty International Airport,” said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning. “We thank the Federal Aviation Administration and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for enabling competitive access to Newark.  Consumers are the winners in Newark – one of the highest airfare markets in the country** – with the addition of more flights and lower fares from more airlines.”

In addition to these nonstop flights, Spirit will offer connecting service from Newark via its Fort Lauderdale home and Orlando to more than 30 destinations, including more than 20 to/from the Caribbean and Latin America.
