Luxury hotels around the world invite guests and visitors alike to celebrate the fall harvest season with Sofitel Wine Days
Paris, France, 2020-Sep-22 — /Travel PR News/ — With safe, local experiences full of cultural enrichment in vogue this year, Sofitel Hotels & Resorts is inviting patrons to celebrate Sofitel Wine Days, a sensorial global showcase of food and wine that runs from August 21 to October 31, 2020.
Embodying Sofitel’s role as the global ambassador of French style and art-de-vivre, Sofitel Wine Days is an annual program which sees Sofitel hotels around the world pay tribute to wine and French culinary heritage. The festivities take place during the traditional wine harvest period in France and offer guests an authentic opportunity to ‘Live The French Way’ through a variety of extraordinary wine experiences such as tastings, guided vineyard tours, wine pairings and more. This year will be the program’s 9th edition, demonstrating to guests Sofitel’s commitment to wine through a variety of events that encourage them to make daring new discoveries, expand their knowledge and learn more about which wines suit them best, thanks to the brand’s wine experts and sommeliers.
Starting from August 21 until October 31, 2020, select Sofitel properties will showcase local wine and culinary culture, taking guests on a journey to discover new and unknown varieties as well as flavors that awaken their palates through unique experiences including exclusive events and a one-of-a-kind curated Wine Days Menu. Highlights include:
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is offering guests a series of events throughout the duration of the program including exclusive French and Italian wine dining journeys as well as pairing experiences and offers in three of its restaurants and bars on property. Sofitel Bangkok Sukhummvit is hosting a mystery wine tasting, wine & cheese masterclasses and is kicking off the program in late August with a 3-course exclusive wine pairing dinner at Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie. Guests can enjoy the best of French wines at Sofitel Saigon Plaza through an exceptional wine fair experience and 4-course dinner hosted in mid-September at the hotel’s newly renovated LE 17 Bistro featuring special guest speakers from Bordeaux, Marseille and other renowned wine regions of France. For guests craving a little escape, Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam is transforming its Library ‘Or’ into a luxurious Champagne Atelier and creating a Mediterranean experience at its garden bistro, Oriole, named the ‘Oriole Express’ which will offer an exquisite culinary journey travelling through southern European countries, all featuring an exclusive wine pairing that will connect the selected country to the Netherlands. The property will also host a full roster of events, tasting menus and special offers through October.
As an exciting addition this year, Sofitel properties have introduced a bespoke Wine Days Menu with a specially curated selection of wines chosen by wine producers and partners, many of which have been deeply affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Wine Days Menu features a variety of high-caliber wines, local to each property partaking in the Sofitel Wine Days program, inviting visitors and guests to explore all things oenological.
“Sofitel Wine Days allows our hotels to share their “savoir-faire” with a truly local essence, while ensuring guests feel that unique sense of joie de vivre that has become such a well-known signature of the brand,” said Joao Rocco, Vice President, Luxury Brand Management, Sofitel Brands. “This celebration is a wonderful way for our brand to offer guests meaningful experiences at a time when they’re desired the most and to benefit from our over 50 years of wine expertise. Our master sommeliers, extraordinary wine library and the exceptional wines served across all Sofitel properties means no matter the destination, an authentic interpretation of Sofitel’s French art-de-vivre can be experienced.”
Sofitel Wine Days events across the globe have the privilege of celebrating the culture of wines and its link to the French art-de-vivre, hosting events that will delight amateurs and aficionados alike as they discover the secrets of wine.
