A modern take on historical charm in iconic Italian destinations

(IN SHORT) Six Senses has partnered with Gruppo Statuto to expand its presence in Italy by opening two new luxury properties: Six Senses Milan in 2025 and Six Senses Lake Como in 2028. These new additions will follow the successful launch of Six Senses Rome and are part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Europe. Six Senses Milan will be located in the Brera district, while Six Senses Lake Como will occupy the restored Grand Hotel Cadenabbia on the lake’s western shore, offering luxurious, wellness-focused experiences in iconic Italian destinations.

(PRESS RELEASE) London, UK, 2024-Oct-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Six Senses has signed hotel management agreements with Gruppo Statuto to open two new properties in Italy: Six Senses Milan and Six Senses Lake Como. These new destinations will follow the successful debut of Six Senses Rome in 2023 and the upcoming Six Senses Antognolla in Umbria. The addition of these properties strengthens IHG Hotels & Resorts’ growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, which now includes nearly 100 hotels in Europe, including eight Six Senses locations.

Six Senses Milan will be located in the heart of the city’s Brera district, known for its artistic heritage. This boutique property will combine authentic Milanese charm with wellness-focused hospitality, offering 68 guest rooms, including 15 suites, along with a rooftop bar, a sky pool, and a state-of-the-art spa. Six Senses Lake Como, set to open in 2028, will offer a tranquil retreat along the lake’s western shore. Following a complete restoration of the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia, it will feature 102 spacious rooms and suites, a spa, and stunning lakeside amenities, including a floating pool and a terrace bar with panoramic views.

Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses, emphasized the brand’s deep connection to Italy’s rich culture, noting that both properties are designed to offer luxury, wellness, and a sense of historical charm in two of Italy’s most iconic locations.

Gruppo Statuto, which also owns Six Senses properties in Ibiza, London, and Rome, further solidifies its leadership in the luxury hotel market with these new developments.
